Major Giving and Capital Campaign Fundraiser (parental cover)
Join us as a Major Giving Fundraiser and lead on private individual giving and high-impact campaigns, driving growth to make a lasting impact in Greenpeace as a core member of our High Value team.
About us
Greenpeace is a global network of campaigning organisations, working for a green and peaceful future. It comprises 26 independent national/regional Greenpeace organisations (NROs) in over 55 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating organisation, Greenpeace International. We expose global environmental problems and force positive changes through research, lobbying and non-violent direct action.
Greenpeace does not accept funding from governments or corporations - our work is powered entirely by people and foundations who believe in a greener, fairer world.

About the role
This full-time position based in Stockholm is dedicated to maximizing major gifts by providing strategic direction for individual private giving and executing direct donor stewardship across the Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland).
This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in Greenpeace’s most ambitious fundraising effort yet - a global capital campaign to secure the resources needed for a new era of environmental action.
As Greenpeace embarks on this journey to expand our capacity to confront the climate and biodiversity crises, you will lead the capital campaign work across the Nordic region, inspiring major philanthropists to stand with us for a livable planet.
Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Fundraising and Solicitation: Successfully soliciting Major Gifts and developing a robust pipeline of prospects through donor cultivation and engagement strategies.
- Project Leadership: Taking the lead role in implementing and driving our global Capital Campaign in the Nordic region.
- Donor Stewardship: Creating and executing inspiring and appropriate stewardship activities, including 'on the ground' tours that showcase our direct impact.
- Represent Greenpeace to external audiences - philanthropists, networks, and partner organisations - with credibility, authenticity, and passion.
- Collaborate with international stakeholders to align philanthropic opportunities with Greenpeace’s bold vision for systemic environmental change.
- Contribute to the long-term growth of Greenpeace Nordic’s Major Gifts programme by identifying new opportunities, sharing insights, and nurturing a culture of strategic philanthropy.
The role collaborates closely with the broader High Value team, which manages the Swedish Postcode Lottery and Trust & Foundations work. It is expected that we support each other across the entire High Value team as needed.

Workplace & Culture
The heart of Greenpeace has always been its people. People are our special power. We are fortunate enough to be surrounded by passionate individuals who work together for a greener world and to create positive change. Not all of us are activists; confronting wrongdoings in the frontlines, but what we all share is a quest for a greener and more peaceful future. Whether in a staff role, a volunteer with the actions team, or an intern keen to learn, everyone plays a special part in our campaigning network.
That same passion and commitment goes into everything we do, from organizing crucial campaigns and tactics, working together on projects, team gatherings, taking part in employee resource groups, organizing Nordic Annual Away Days, to office re-planting parties; taking care of our plants and trees.
Key principles that guide us are our Cultural lenses. The lenses support the culture we want to achieve while working together and have been created and agreed upon by all staff. In summary there are 8 lenses; Collaboration, Trust, Relational, Inclusion & Diversity, Openness, Agility, Accountability & Decision and Taking Leadership.
