The digital unit will maximise the impact of our campaigns and serve as a bridge between people and the organisation. We will also play our role in helping Greenpeace grow as an organisation both in support and values.
The Digital Program Unit is a very central unit in the Nordic organisation. The unit has many collaborations and touchpoints with almost all of the other departments. We collaborate and integrate campaigning with mobilisation and engagement in the conversations we are building with our existing and potential supporters and the movement. We hold the key for optimising the impact our campaigns have in the world and in the way we are being perceived by the public.
Greenpeace uses real life confrontation with those in power in order to make waves and create change. We will not succeed in mobilising masses if people are not made aware of the problems and see the alternatives at hand - and the way to expose people to this is through impact in relevant channels.
The employees work with social media and content creation. They plan and execute campaigns' engagement together with campaign teams and work closely with fundraising.
We are aiming to make an impact through storytelling, build relationships with our supporters and enable them to take online actions in various and meaningful ways.
The team consists of two digital campaigners in each of four countries and a unit head.
About Greenpeace Nordic
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behavior, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. It comprises 26 independent national/regional offices in more than 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International.
Greenpeace Nordic was established in 1999 through an association of the national Greenpeace offices in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. The offices merged to increase impact and efficiency through better Nordic cooperation.
