Regional Legacy and Middle Donor OfficerFundraising · Greenpeace Sweden · Hybrid
The fundraising department is responsible for raising income for Greenpeace in the Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland). Income is raised primarily from private donors, as well as through grants from family foundations and the Postcode Lottery. Greenpeace maintains its independence by not accepting money from governments or corporations.
At Greenpeace the goal of fundraising is not only to raise the money that enables us to take bold actions and stand up for the planet, but it is also to inspire people to take action together with us and promote the idea that people, working together, can change the world. Our work in the fundraising department is therefore focused on connecting with our audiences in a meaningful way and highlighting the importance of their donations. The income we raise allows us to retain our independence, deliver high impact campaigns on a local, regional and global scale and build our influence and resilience.
Greenpeace Nordic’s fundraising department works across a range of acquisition streams, engaging with supporters and the public through digital, telefundraising and direct dialogue (face to face) to bring new donors onboard. We are committed to keeping our donors on board long term, which is reflected in our donor loyalty and donor care work. Our operations also include high value fundraising efforts which includes both major giving and legacy giving.
About Greenpeace Nordic
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behavior, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. It comprises 26 independent national/regional offices in more than 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International.
Greenpeace Nordic was established in 1999 through an association of the national Greenpeace offices in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. The offices merged to increase impact and efficiency through better Nordic cooperation.
