Greenpeace programme department is the workplace of professional changemakers. We have people from various backgrounds - politics, science, communication, grassroot campaigning - all with a shared belief that a better future is possible. We build campaigns that are based on thorough knowledge from our fields of expertise, strategic thinking on how to shift mindset and powerholders, and creativity to do it in a fun and compelling way! This is a team in which strong core values are shared and that shows in how well people work together. Healthy disagreement over strategic options is much more common than competition.
Our campaigns need communicators, creative minds, issue experts and mobilisers to work. Our campaigners are usually people who combine issue expertise on one of our campaign areas with advocacy and campaigning skills. Creatives, digital marketing managers and communication experts make our stories fly. Volunteer coordinators, who often come in with an activist background or other experience from movements, hold together our volunteer network. Our action coordinators are great at turning words into action!
About Greenpeace Nordic
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behavior, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. It comprises 26 independent national/regional offices in more than 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a co-ordinating body, Greenpeace International.
Greenpeace Nordic was established in 1999 through an association of the national Greenpeace offices in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. The offices merged to increase impact and efficiency through better Nordic cooperation.
